About nextstep North East

nextstep is a government initiative, funded by the Learning and Skills Council, to provide an adult careers advice service available free to anyone over 20 years of age.

nextstep aims to provide careers information and advice about the labour market where you are.

nextstep provides all adults over 20 with access to a range of services including finance and child care and can help you with your progression into learning or work;

nextstep provides services where and when you need them;

nextstep in the North East is a partnership of organisations throughout Co Durham, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear and the Tees Valley who specialise in careers information and advice and working from a range of community based and public access venues.

If you need advice and support to help you find the training you need to improve your skills, gain employment or improve your career progression prospects then a nextstep adviser can help you.

Services range from group activities to more intensive and personalised one to one support and are available flexibly to meet your needs.
